1923: (Paramount+) The Duttons (Harrison Ford & Helen Mirren) face a new set of challenges in the early 20th century, including the rise of Western expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression. There is third season coming and we’ll be watching. We loved the first two seasons, and eagerly await the third. The third season brings Spencer home! Despite high hopes for an 1883 Season 2, the follow-up never materialized. Instead, the story was partly continued by 1923, another Yellowstone story. Considering that the show was critically acclaimed enough to be nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards, it is somewhat bizarre that Season 2 never materialized. It's important to realize, however, there are good reasons why 1883 Season 2 didn't happen. There were only so many stories for Sheridan to tell in the 1883 world. His decision to restrict himself to just the story told in Season 1 may have been limiting, but it also ensured that there was never a moment wherein 1883 jumped off of the rails. He had a plan in mind, stuck to that plan, and delivered a product that enthralled viewers and enriched the world of Yellowstone. If he ever wishes to return to that setting, flashbacks are an available option, and they would likely be unable to take away from the atmosphere that he built in the original show. As it is, he tackled original themes and closed the book on many beloved characters, all while thoroughly considering the setting of the show and the stresses of the journey to a largely uncolonized Montana. There are more spin-offs to come, of course. Because the flagship will be coming to an end with the second half of Season 5 later this year, the Yellowstone franchise will continue with shows like 6666, 1944, and The Madison. 6666 will be set in modern-day Texas and follow the events surrounding the titular Four Sixes Ranch. 1944 will continue the story of earlier generations of the Dutton family, presumably as they cope with the escalation of World War II. 2024 will be the official sequel to Yellowstone and has been rumored to have Matthew McConaughey as its lead star. The Madison is an upcoming neo-Western television series created by Taylor Sheridan. It is a spinoff of Sheridan's previous series, Yellowstone. Premise: The series follows the McIntosh family, originally from New York City, who live in the Madison River valley of central Montana.

Dying For Sex: 2025 (Hulu) The new FX miniseries Dying for Sex is based on a heartbreaking true story about Molly Kochan, a woman with terminal cancer who decides to go on sexual escapades at the end of her life. The concept for the the show, which stars Michelle Williams, comes from the podcast Dying for Sex, which is narrated by Kochan’s best friend, Nikki Boyer, and features the pair’s titillating conversations about Kochan’s hookups. The six-episode podcast was released by Wondery in 2020 — one year after Kochan passed away from metastasized breast cancer in March 2019, at the age of 45. The sex is graphic and kinky. If you’re not turned off by that take a look. We watched all 8 episodes in one day. The last episode is a tear-jerker, so have some tissues handy.
